Working on a stronger body post cancer surgery
7 months post cancer surgery and 4 months doing TRX!!
Thanks to my husband who invested and set up TRX system in our house I was able to start working out few months after I was cleared by my surgeon to start working out again. I was apprehensive about doing anything physical because I was so weak and all of my muscles went away. It was very hard at the beginning. I did not eat enough and was struggling with simple balance, walking etc. I went from healthy, gym daily, 8-10 miles a day and weight lifting to nothingness.
I started with simple routine only few reps of each thing. It was easy for me to set up and the thing I love about TRX is that I can stop in between or middle of whatever I am doing as well as do one thing and walk away and then comeback again and so on. I started in November 2017 and do it almost daily to the present time. I also went back to the gym whenever I can or feel good that day then I will do 5-8 miles on the elliptical machine and do some weights. The thing about working out is that I get lots of creative ideas due to a better blood and oxygen distribution.
I did not think that TRX would do much for me but as time went by and I increased the work out time as well as difficulty I started to see big improvement in the way my body looked and biggest change was I was becoming strong. I had a photo shoot in March 2018 done to celebrate my cancer recovery as well as becoming stronger physically.
